Forehead Lift- Overview
A forehead lift is performed in an outpatient surgical facility under IV sedation and takes approximately 1 hour. During your forehead lift, Dr. Rifai will elevate the skin and muscles of the forehead to a more youthful position. Muscles are sometimes removed and suspension is maintained by absorbable sutures and metal clips.
Forehead Lift- Recovery
Patients typically recover quickly from a forehead lift. You may experience some bruising and swelling, however this should lessen in approximately 7-10 days. It is common to experience a headache after the procedure, however this can be treated using prescribed medications. Some numbness may occur and may take several months to resolve. Light activities can be resolved in one week, whereas strenuous exercises can be resumed in six weeks.
